Durham appoint Kirk as new head coach

WSL2 side Durham have appointed Willie Kirk as their new head coach.

The former Everton and Leicester boss recently left Swedish top flight side Djurgardens, having also managed Linkoping in the Damallsvenskan.

He returns to English football for the first time since he was fired by the Foxes after an investigation found he "breached the team's code of conduct to a degree that makes his position untenable" after an alleged relationship between himself and a player came to light.

Besir signs for Dundee

The 25-year-old, who was most recently at ND Primorje in his native Slovenia, has joined up with his new team-mates for pre-season training in Hungary.

The 17-year-old has featured for the club's first team as well as the U21s, and spent time on loan at Rotherham last season, where he made 20 appearances and scored three goals.

He is one of a long line of Grays at Leeds, with his brother Archie - now at Spurs - beginning his career at the club. His dad, Andy, grandad Frank and great uncle Eddie also played for the Whites.

Could British-record fee prise Rogers from Villa?

Newcastle target Manzambi to wait until post-World Cup to decide on future

Latest from Your Site News' Keith Downie:

Newcastle target Johan Manzambi is expected to wait until Switzerland's World Cup is over to decide his future.

Your Site News exclusively revealed Newcastle's interest in the Freiburg midfielder. They remain keen on the player - but face plenty of competition for his signature.

Switzerland face Colombia in the World Cup last 16 on Tuesday and, until they are out, the 20-year-old is keeping his full focus on the tournament.

Reports from Swiss outlet Blick claim Manzambi is set to miss the Colombia game after picking up a knee injury in training.

It was confirmed in Switzerland's pre-match press conference that Maznambi was one of three players to leave training early, but the reports suggests it is not a serious injury.

Manzambi has been one of the breakout stars at the World Cup, becoming the youngest player to reach five goal involvements (three goals and two assists) at the tournament since records began.
