ONeill says Duran set to become Celtics first summer signing
Martin ONeill has revealed that Colombian forward Camilo Duran is about to become Celtics first new signing of the summer.
Your Site News understands the Hoops have agreed a deal worth around 6m for the Qarabag attacker.
It is understood the Scottish champions will pay an initial fee of 3m, with just under 3m in add-ons.
I think at this minute Duran will be coming in, manager ONeill confirmed in a club interview ahead of Celtics first pre-season friendly against Shelbourne in Dublin on Tuesday evening.
Hes doing a medical, I think, just as we speak. If hes not doing it tonight, hell be doing it tomorrow morning, and hopefully hell join us in Portugal (for the upcoming training camp).
ONeill is anticipating his sides transfer business to accelerate in the coming weeks.
We have a number of players that were looking at, he said. Weve had a number of offers in for players as well too at the same time.
And Im hoping in the not-too-distant future, and I mean maybe in the next couple of weeks, that we will have some really decent players at the football club to add to the very decent players we have at the football club.
